Already knowing a bit about him and his mission, I was able to start sketching without presenting a mood board. First, I sketched a few ideas focusing on the idea of moving forward. Kevin stressed that this was not simply a book company, so I created one option illustrating the idea that Future Minds is interested in digital media as well as print.
Below are the options I presented. Since the logo would be printed on any future pubications, I wanted to provide something that would work well in any color to match the theme of the publication. I provided a few iterations and color options below.
The final logo in three different colors:
In monochromatic, with and without the additional wordmarks and varied white space usage
Alternative version with color using more white space
Outlined version
Printed on a book binding (You can see the full book project here: https://www.behance.net/gallery/73462233/Day-by-Day-Book
